Non-violence in the Indian tradition

Abstract

The India conception of the no-violence (ahimsâ) has a long history, thatarises as a form to resist the personal and social violent conditions. On thematter, the most important theorical developments have been the offeredones by the jainism, the buddhism and the yoga. Their more high meaningis that no-violence has become necessary for the profit of a superior purpose.
