Academic activities of the Institute of History of the Faculty of Letters of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos during the year 1947

Abstract

In the Hall of Degrees of the Faculty of Letters of the Lylayor National University of San Marcos, on November 14, at 7 pm, the tribute to the memory of the illustrious Swiss historian Jacobo Burckhardt on the first fiftieth anniversary of his demise. The event was attended by the Vice-Rector Dr. Sergio Bernales, the Dean of the Faculty of Letters Dr. José Jiménez Borja, the Director of the Institute Dr. Teodosio Cabada, His Excellency the Minister of Switzerland, the Accidental Director of the National Archive Dr. Jorge Zevallos Q., Dr. Julián Santisteban Ochoa, Professor of History of Peru at the University of Cusco and Professors of the History section of the Faculty of Letters. Below we insert the speeches that were delivered in this tribute. The speeches of Dr. Teodosio Cabada, student Sergio Montoya and Dr. Carlos Daniel Valcárcel Esparza were presented.
