Abstract
It analyzes the cultures of the north of the country under a division into periods, even if it is supported by a vague chronological relationship. The Chimú Confederation would become the last link of cultures of rapid tropical growth and, consequently, of early death. Its' stable cultural epigone would be the old metropolis of Chan Chan, capital of the "Señorío del Gran Chimú", federation of peoples of the northern coast of Peru. ChanChan separates the history of art itself Chimú, from the 'confused prehistoric past of art Muchik, Trujillo, Chicama, Cupisnique and other names derived from different evolutionary degrees of the same culture. It stands out in its explanation in the citadel of Chan Chan, its walls, Chimú metalwork, masks among other cultural aspects of this majestic culture of the north of the countryDownloads
