Abstract
Spanish literature has been generous in creating archetypal characters, so rooted in the Iberian mentality, so richly constructed and so splendidly modelled, that when they come to life, by the magical breath of those who created them, they take on the value of eternity, reflecting an echo that still persists in the manner of the Spanish people. Don Quixote and Sancho live in Spain today with their physical profile and their big hearts. And they also encourage in the Peninsula the Don Juan, that Tirso de Molina traced and repeated in the romantic way "orrilla" and "picara" Trotaconventos, masterly recreated by Rojas, in his immortal Celestina.Downloads
