Abstract

Baroque art, confused in the derivations of the "Renaissance", without solution of continuity, carries out the definition of its trajectory when the counter-reformist movement develops and when a continental sense is affirmed in Europe, against the pretended return to the past. His terrain: Europe. The real Europe that began its decisive stage with the formation of nationalities, overcoming the feudal spirit but becoming saturated with ideological content after the Reformation and the Anti-Reformation.
