The current building of the University of Sán Marcos

Abstract

This article consists of two parts: the first is a historical review and a current description, the complement of which is made up of an initial Euristic route and some topographical illustrations, about the premises currently occupied by the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos de Lima, written by Dr. Daniel V alcarcel; the 'Second is a description of the figures, symbols, translation of Latin legends and other complementary particularities • of the ceiling and annexes of the viceregal Hall of Academic Acts of the Faculty of Letters of the Dean Lima and American University, written by Dra. Gred Ibscher. This part of the work is accompanied by plates, having conserved the primitive colors that currently shows the ceiling of the Hall of Degrees of the mentioned Faculty.
