Abstract

In the Literary History of Peru, a marked prosperity in the poetic genre can be noticed. Poetry finds its atmosphere and the frank way, from popular singing to the maximum expression of our great poets. The other literary genres do not enjoy the same fortune, not to mention the novel, a masculine and virile genre of which we have so few representatives. But with respect to the short story, a synthesis of good speech, imagination, comedy and drama, it is where we can see animosity.
